First Aid At Work

The First Aid at Work (3 Days) course is designed to equip learners with the knowledge and practical skills required to act as a competent first aider in the workplace. The training ensures that participants can respond effectively to a wide range of medical emergencies, supporting the health and safety of colleagues and visitors.

The course content meets the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) requirements for organisations that have identified, through a first-aid needs assessment, the necessity for staff to be trained to this level.

1. Roles and responsibilities of a workplace first aider
2. Assessing and managing emergency situations
3. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs)
4. Treatment of bleeding, burns, fractures, and shock
5. Management of unconscious casualties
6. Responding to medical conditions including seizures, asthma, and heart attacks
7. Incident reporting, documentation, and legal responsibilities
